AM6: Helen Chong, Founder of Haylen Group

This week, Rusty talks to Helen Chong, Founder of Haylen Group and author of Power To Change Lives, about how her family going bankrupt as a child changed her perception of financial security, independence, and taking chances. Helen discusses what it was like to come to America as a teenager and break into a male-dominated, real estate industry. She lifts the curtain on how she leveraged Authority Marketing, her book, and newsjacking to build trust and credibility.

About Helen Chong:
Helen Chong, CCIM, is the Founder of Haylen Group in San Jose, a residential and commercial real estate company. She has over 16 years of real estate experience as a real estate agent, mentor as well as a real estate investor. Helen Chong is considered a real estate industry leader by serving in many real estate organizations.

Helen is a sought-after speaker on real estate-related topics, and was invited to contribute real estate investments articles on Forbes. She hosts a monthly Bay Area Housing Market Town Hall webinar and recently launched her new book titled Power To Change Lives where she documented her journey full of obstacles as an immigrant coming to the US alone without any family or financial support. Despite her ‘disadvantaged’ status as a female, minority, immigrant, with no financial support or real estate experience, she laid out her mistakes and journey as a rookie, and how she eventually established a successful real estate business by building a top producing team and real estate investments. She even broke the barrier of the widely known as caucasian male commercial real estate industry to become the first Asian Female Immigrant President for the NorCal CCIM Chapter. Helen was nominated by The Registry and the Bay Area Commercial Real Estate of Women chapters for the Industry Impact Award and she was recognized as 2021 Top 100 Women of Influence by Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Helen is a mother of three young children and a wife to a US Marine Veteran. Through her stories, she hopes to inspire her children and others who would like to break stereotypes and take control of their destiny through their own Power to Change Lives.
