From his first job as a paperboy at age 12 to earning his pilot’s license at 16, David’s early years set the stage for a life of innovation and exploration.

His global travels, including a transformative journey down the Pan-American Highway and extensive tours across Europe and beyond, fueled his lifelong passion for skiing and world discovery.

David’s diverse career path showcases his adaptability and business acumen. He managed a ski lodge in Park City, founded successful aviation and RV rental businesses, and eventually found his true calling in education.

As Chairman of Fairmont Schools, David revolutionized private education in Orange County, expanding the institution’s reach and creating the Fairmont International Academy. His leadership extended to various educational associations, where he played pivotal roles in shaping policies and fostering collaboration.

Throughout his journey, David has remained committed to faith, family, and philanthropy. His 52-year partnership with his wife Stacey has been marked by humanitarian missions, community service, and a dedication to their growing family of five children and 13 grandchildren. Now semi-retired, David continues to impact the Orange County educational community while pursuing his passions for skiing and travel, having visited over 120 countries to date.
