Leah Benson

In 1999 she moved to New York City to attend Columbia University, where she earned both an EdM and an MA degree in counseling psychology. During her graduate studies, she worked with adults, adolescents, and children in psychiatric hospital and outpatient settings, helping them overcome a broad range of personal, relationship, and work challenges.

Before training in bioenergetic analysis, Leah studied psychoanalytic theories, concepts, and methods, including Freudian psychoanalysis, character analysis, object relations theory, self-psychology, relational and intersubjective theories, and ego psychology. She also studied and was certified in neurolinguistic processing. She has a strong interest in neuropsychology and structural changes that occur in the brain due to therapy.
