ROY K. ALTMAN is a United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida and the author of Israel on Trial: Examining the History, the Evidence, and the Law. He brings a rare combination of legal insight, historical knowledge, and personal experience to one of the most urgent and misrepresented issues in global discourse.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, and raised in Miami, Judge Altman graduated from Columbia University, where he played both football and baseball, before earning his law degree from Yale Law School. After clerking for the U.S. Court of Appeals and serving as a federal prosecutor, he became the youngest federal district court judge ever appointed in the Southern District of Florida.

In Israel on Trial, Altman applies courtroom standards of truth—corroboration, burden of proof, and forensic analysis—to modern political narratives about Israel.
