She is the founder and president of Little Palms Foundation, a nonprofit organization that fosters educational capacity building and access to healthcare services when need or service unavailability may exist across the Caribbean and West African regions.  Mary lives in North Carolina with her husband and daughters but often spends time in the Caribbean and West Africa.
